2002 Combined Talents: The Florida National
Combined Talents: The Florida National is an annual, juried competition sponsored by the Florida State University Museum of Fine Arts. The competition is open to artists around the world who are 18 years of age or over. Artists may submit up to two works for consideration in the media of their choice. A $15.00 entry fee provides funding for the competition, including production of the catalog.

More than 430 artists entered this year's competition which required the jury to review approximately 860 slides. The jury panel consisted of three faculty members from the FSU School of Visual Arts and Dance: Lilian Garia-Roig (MFA, University of Pennsylvania; works primarily in painting); Scott Groeniger (MFA, School of the Art Institute of Chicago; works in digital media, web design and digital photography); and Keith Roberson (MFA, University of Maryland Balitmore County; works in graphic design and digital arts). The jurors are requested to select works based on their own merit and must agree that the artist demonstrates skill within the chosen medium. After much deliberation, the jury selected the work of forty-five artists for this year's exhibition. These works represent a wide variety of media and are artistically diverse.
