Appraisals
The staff of the FSU Museum of Fine Arts is prohibited by guidelines of the accreditation of the American Association of Museums from providing an appraisal of any object. In instances where a collector wishes to bring an art object to the Museum for staff review, it may be possible to make a preliminary identification of the nature of the work: Museum staff will only look at pieces of artwork in the company of the collector and do so purely as a courtesy.
