The Call to Artists for "Heads, Shoulders, Genes & Toes" ended October 10, 2011
Professor Judith Rushin, Guest Curator, has invited several artists from the Call and added their works to those she had selected though her research over the past year. Her current list of invited artists is: Joe Davis; Paddy Hartley; Hunter Cole; Eduardo Kac; Heido Kumao; Robert Sherer; Brian Knep; Suzanne Anker; Adam Zaretsky; Eric Geshke; Perrin Ireland; Beverly Fishman.
MoFA extends sincere thanks to all artists who participate in our varied programs and Calls. "Heads, Shoulders, Genes & Toes," is schedule for mid-October to mid-November 2012. Other opportunities will be listed as they arise and the International Competition deadline for 2012 is February 14, 2012.
The Call to Fiber Artists ended October 15, 2010
Thread of Life -- February 10 - March 25, 2012
Narrative works by artists in fibers media are the subject of MoFA's 2012 Spring exhibition Thread of Life. Among the artists whose works will be included in the exhibition are: Faith Ringgold; Harriet Bell; Judy Chicago; Judith Poxon Fawkes; Mary Edna Fraser; Christine Lofaso; Stephanie Liner; Miriam Schapiro; Gee's Bend Collective. (Loans are currently under negotiation.)
